Daddy had a four day weekend, and Mom was almost done with classes for the summer, so we went back up north. On Friday, we took a ferry to Mackinac Island with our bikes.
I was a little unsure about sitting on top of the ferry at first!
The Mackinac Bridge from the boat.
It was very windy!

The Grand Hotel
Fort Mackinac
Getting closer!
When we got off the boat, Mom and Dad spotted a Mackinac Island “beer truck!”
We got on our bikes and started riding. Our first stop was the school, where I got to play for a little bit.
Here I am swinging. Mom tried to get the bridge behind me, but it was very humid & hazy.
Daddy & I spotted some fresh “road apples!” We saw A LOT of road apples during our ride around the island!
We stopped for lunch after riding for a while. Daddy took me to put my feet in the water to cool off.
An old cannon on the back of the island.
People like to stack rocks around the island. They are all over the rocky beaches.
Arch Rock
Back on the bike to ride some more!
Our next stop when we got back to the main side of the island, was the Butterfly House. We walked through and saw lots of butterflies flying around!
The Butterfly House also had a section with old turtles…
… and a scary spider!
After the Butterfly House, we took another bike ride through town. Here is a closer look at the Grand Hotel.
We stopped to get some fudge, and I started to get tired, and begged Mom to carry me!
The Mackinac Island UPS delivery truck! Even the horse is brown!
After dinner, we got back on the ferry to head back to the mitten. The waves were huge & we got really wet on the ride back! It was a great trip! Next time, I’d like to go for a carriage ride!
