Mom and I were in a playing mood, and she grabbed the camera.  I had fun making different faces!!

Got Captain?!

Mom checked on me after I went to bed, and this is how she found me.

She calls it a “Captain pose.” 

(Whatever that means…!!!)

Shish-kabobs

After another successful trip to the Farmer’s Market, Mom & Dad made some shish-kabobs.  They looked so good on the grill, that Mom had to take a picture!

Don’t they look yummy??!!  They tasted even better than they look!  I even ate more than Mom & Dad expected!!  It was a great summer meal that I hope we make again soon!

2010 Venetian Festival

We went back up north for Charlevoix’s Venetian Festival.  This year, I got to go on some bigger rides, like the ferris wheel and the spinning bears!  I wanted to go on even bigger ones, but Mom said I’d have to wait until I was a little older!   

On Saturday, we went to breakfast at Darlene’s.  On our way back, Mom & Dad saw a bald eagle flying over the lake, and Mom snapped a quick picture.

Later on, we drove to Petoskey for lunch.  I got to play at the playground by the lake... 

…AND eat some ice cream!!

It started to rain, so we drove back to Charlevoix, where I got to ride more rides.  Mom didn’t like the spinning bears the day before, so this time, Daddy and I rode by ourselves. 

Then we all squeezed onto the ferris wheel for a family ride.  (Mom’s working on better self-portrait pictures!!)

On Sunday, we spent the day on the lake.  I got to help Daddy drive the boat! 

It was a perfect summer day and an even better summer weekend!

Petoskey Fireworks

On the 4th of July, we drove over to Petoskey to watch the fireworks.  While we were waiting for it to get dark, I used a bench as a stage and Mom’s shoes to put on a tap dance show for everyone!

We had fun ooh-ing & aah-ing at the show!  I liked the really loud ones the best!!

Traverse City Cherry Festival

On Saturday, we went drove to Traverse City for the Cherry Festival.  We got there just in time to watch the Blue Angels.  It was really hot, but we had a lot of fun watching the planes fly over us!

After we watched the air show, we got to play at the carnival and ride some rides!

After riding some rides, we walked down to the river to relax and cool off.  Some kids were feeding the ducks, and I sat down to watch.  It felt good to splash my feet in the cool water!

4th of July, 2010

We got a chance to go up north for the 4th of July holiday!  It’s so nice to go up and relax up there & it’s so beautiful!
