Mom, Dad, and I went down to the park to play.  Daddy pushed me in the swings, and then I got to play in the tunnels!  It was a beautiful evening in Grand Blanc!

2009 Venetian Weekend, Charlevoix

Venetian Weekend was a lot of fun!  In the morning, I went to the parade with Aunt Korey, Alan, and Aunt Becca. 

Later on, Becca and Alan took me to the carnival, while Mom, Dad, & Korey hung out.  At night, we watched the boat parade and a GREAT fireworks display!

The weather was a little cool, and it was rainy on Sunday.  So when it cleared up on Monday, we took advantage of it & rented a pontoon for the day.  We had a good time, and all came back with a little too much sun!

Mom & I have been taking advantage of the beautiful summer weather and spending a lot of time outside.

I had a lot of fun helping Mom wash the car!

Daddy says our backyard looks like a circus!  But I think it’s a lot of fun!!

 

Grandma & Grandpa J. brought me a cool 4-wheeler that is a lot of fun!  Here’s Daddy teaching me how to ride.

Mommy has been very good at remembering the sunscreen on these bright, sunny days.  One day, I decided to help her by putting it on by myself!!  Mommy was surprised & thought it was a little bit funny, but boy, was I proud!!

It’s been so fun having Mom home with me this summer!

4th of July

We went up north for the 4th of July.  The weather was a little bit cool, but it was still a lot of fun and was nice to get away!

On Friday, we had a campfire and Daddy shot off some fireworks.

On Saturday, the 4th, we drove to Boyne for a festival.

I had a lot of fun in the bounce house!

After naps and dinner, we drove over to Mackinaw City for fireworks.  We sat on the shores of Lake Huron and were able to also see the fireworks from St. Ignace, Mackinaw Island, and Cheboygan!

On Sunday, Grandma & Grandpa’s friend, Ken, invited us out on his boat.  It was a really pretty day, and I had a lot of fun!  I even got to help drive!!

Mom & Dad tell me that a big hail storm blew through the area a few years ago.  It took some paint off of the front of the house & garage.

Daddy spent his weekends in June fixing it up!

Daddy & I got to spend quality time together today – especially after he was out so late the night before!!  :o)

Good-bye bottles and Hello big girl panties!!

So, it's been almost two weeks since I've had a bottle, and I'm doing really well! I try to ask for one every now & then when I get sleepy, but I don't get it. A girl's gotta try, right?! I seem to think that the ice cream truck took them, and I watch out the window for it to bring them back. I even ask "please," but so far - nothing!

Since I've been spending lots of time with Mommy, I've been wearing big girl panties! Every now & then, I have an "oops," but I've been making it to the potty regularly! I stayed dry all day yesterday, and I even slept in my panties last night. I woke up crying once, and Mommy thought she was going to have to change the sheets, but I was still dry. She put me on the potty & I did my thing & then went back to bed. Mommy sure hopes she just bought the last pack of Pull-Ups, but we will see!
